Year Round - Star Parties

On clear nights (and sometimes days) at Blue Diamond Marina, Doug McFarland brings out his telescopes to view the heavens. Visitors are treated to close-up looks at the Sun, Moon, planets and the stars. With the clear, pristine air at Priest Lake, the term "dark skies" takes on a whole new meaning, or as Doug puts it, "planetarium skies."

Before moving to Idaho, Doug spent over ten years participating in educational outreach programs with the San Diego Astronomy Association and the Oceanside Photo and Telescope Astronomical Society. His equipment ranges from a 76mm refractor to a 10" reflector, and his capabilities include live viewing of solar prominences, flares and sunspots.

Call 208-443-2240 or 800-337-4537 to schedule your private Star Party.
