Now, proceeding into their 4th winemaking season after purchasing Liberty Lake winery in 2015, Mark and Sarah are continuing the winemaking tradition that put Liberty Lake Wine Cellars on the map. 95% of the grapes come from the Red Mountain AVA, the smallest, warmest AVA in Washington known for its award winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The winemaking approach is hands-off in the sense that minimal equipment and additives are introduced to the wine, letting the Red Mountain fruit speak for itself. Their focus is small lots of many varietals including an awarding winning Syrah and three red blends, their signature 50% Cabernet Sauvignon/50% Syrah red blend named Heritage, their traditional Bordeaux blend named Bud Burst, and their Aquila red blend made in conjunction with Eastern Washington’s Alumni Association
